Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is a healing modality that encourages body awareness and inner knowledge.  Yoga postures are blended with guided movement and dialog using a non-prescriptive approach.  Almost like an extended meditation, we use inquiry and curiosity as the vehicles to discovery.  Individual truths arise as a result of bypassing the thinking mind and listening from a deeper place. 

Sessions begin with a centering and move into assisted postures.  The practitioner’s support helps the client stay present to the effects.  The practitioner also educates the client about how to receive, and creates safety so that edges can be explored.  No two sessions are ever alike due to the organic nature of this work.  At the end of each session the client captures what stands out and shines light on how it is relevant.  This work often has profound impacts because the awareness that emerges is fully embodied.
